What an inspiring three days it has been at the Valuing Darkness Symposium organised by the Australasian Dark Sky Alliance!
It's fascinating to be part of conversations between ~200 researchers, academics, industry and standard representatives, engineers, lighting designers and manufacturers with the united aim to provide high quality lighting solutions while preserving our beautiful Australian dark sky. We're so lucky to live in a part of the world where we can have the best of both!
My presentation covered Signify's biodiversity policy, how we define light pollution, the impact of street lighting on light pollution, and a tuneable white project we're currently doing with Omexom.
I'm looking forward to the next Dark Sky event!
